About the role
The MICE Sales Officer works at the front line of the MICE sales desk, handling enquiries from corporates, agencies, DMCs and PCOs. You will qualify enquiries, prepare proposals, drive follow‑up and move agreements through to signature, deposit and handover while maintaining accurate pipeline and client records.
Key responsibilities
- Qualify incoming MICE enquiries by capturing group size, dates, requirements, budget, timelines and special needs.
- Prepare and issue proposals, quotations and sales correspondence using approved rates, packages and commercial terms.
- Run disciplined follow‑up on open enquiries, chase decisions and escalate stalled opportunities.
- Draft MICE contracts, track signatures, deposits and confirmations to secure bookings.
- Maintain the MICE tracker, CRM and sales systems for accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Act as day‑to‑day contact for key accounts, handling routine communication and identifying repeat business opportunities.
- Assist with sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates and highlight conversion risks.
- Support sales calls, client meetings and coordinate handover to Reservations, Revenue, Finance and Operations.
Required profile
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
- Previous experience in hotel sales, MICE, groups, reservations or a comparable commercial function.
- Strong telephone manner and clear written communication with corporate buyers and agencies.
- Excellent attention to detail when preparing proposals and contracts.
- Persistent follow‑up habits and relationship skills for long lead‑time engagements.
- Commercial awareness of the MICE market and seasonality.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines in parallel.
- Professional, service‑oriented communication style suited to a fast‑paced luxury hospitality environment.
