Newborn Care Specialist – In‑Home Caregiver

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Caregiver / Newborn Care Specialist to provide safe, nurturing in‑home support for newborns and infants. The role assists families in establishing healthy routines, feeding, hygiene and sleep practices while promoting parental recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe and nurturing care for newborns and infants.
• Support families with newborn routines, feeding, hygiene and sleep practices.
• Monitor and report any concerns regarding the baby’s health or wellbeing.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for the baby.
• Educate and encourage parents using respectful, evidence‑based practices.
• Follow family care plans while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with parents and other healthcare professionals as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, Child Care, Early Childhood Development or related field (preferred).
• Training or experience in newborn care, maternity care or postpartum support.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, trustworthy and dependable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including day, night or 24‑hour shifts.
