NGIS Building Manager

About the role

Amentum is looking for an NGIS Building Manager to oversee the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) on Diego Garcia. The role ensures the facility meets Navy lodging standards while providing a safe, clean, and high‑quality experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of NGIS facilities, including maintenance, housekeeping, front desk, and guest services.
• Conduct regular inspections, identify maintenance needs, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with engineering and contracted teams.
• Maintain accurate records of occupancy, work orders, inspections, and supply usage.
• Oversee inventory of supplies, equipment, furnishings, and materials required for operations.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff in housekeeping, customer service, and facility support.
• Address guest concerns, resolve issues, and ensure a professional lodging experience.
• Implement and enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Communicate operational updates and issues to supervisors and Navy leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in lodging management, hotel operations, or facility management.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or facility‑management certifications preferred.
• Valid passport (must remain valid at least one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to secure country‑specific visas.
