About the role
Strong Start Limited is offering a paid internship for emerging Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers. You will gain hands‑on experience working with children aged 6 months to 3 years in play‑based, developmentally appropriate settings across Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver Strong Start classes using provided lesson plans, teacher guides, and learning objectives.
- Prepare and organise materials before each session.
- Communicate learning objectives clearly and ensure sessions start and finish on time.
- Facilitate balanced playgroup activities that support physical, social, cognitive, language, and life‑skill development.
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress.
Required profile
- Reflective, growth‑oriented educator with a child‑centred learning philosophy.
- Professional, reliable, and eager to continuously improve.
- Flexibility to work at multiple sites and varied schedules, including occasional weekends.
- Ability to engage effectively with both children and caregivers.
