Part‑time PhD Peer Reviewer – Hematology

About the role

This is a long‑term, stable part‑time position that allows you to work remotely as a peer reviewer for hematology manuscripts. You will support the scientific community by ensuring the quality and integrity of submitted research.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of manuscripts and determine if they add new knowledge to hematology.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Check that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity, relevance, and scientific soundness.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
• Identify any ethical concerns, omissions, or methodological flaws.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written‑communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
