Plumber – Wastewater & Submersible Pump Specialist

About the role

Amentum is looking for an experienced plumber to support a critical US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing wastewater and submersible pump systems in a remote, multi‑national environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater facilities and related plumbing systems to meet operational standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
• Install, repair, and maintain water, gas, and sewage systems in accordance with technical specifications and safety codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical manuals for proper installation and repair.
• Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members during routine work and emergency response.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience maintaining and repairing submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
• Hands‑on knowledge of wastewater facility operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; journeyman‑level plumbing certification preferred.
• Valid passport (minimum 1‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to pass and maintain contract medical requirements.
