Plumbing Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Plumbing Assistant to support our Plumbing Specialist in maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across all company facilities. The role involves hands‑on work, preparation of tools and materials, and assisting with emergency call‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and repair of pipes, fixtures, valves and drainage systems.
• Support routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Prepare tools, materials and work areas for each plumbing job.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment and service vehicles.
• Monitor and restock basic plumbing supplies and consumables.
• Identify and report plumbing issues or potential hazards.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Provide support during emergency repairs and after‑hours call‑outs when required.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a plumbing or technical support role.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and components.
• Relevant vocational training or willingness to pursue trade certification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong work ethic, good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast‑paced environment.
