Primary Mathematics & Science Teacher (Grades 1‑3)

About the role

Strathmore School is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to deliver Mathematics and Science & Technology to learners in Grades 1‑3. The role involves creating engaging, age‑appropriate lessons that align with Kenya’s Competency Based Curriculum and fostering a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Mathematics and Science & Technology lessons for Grade 1‑3 learners.
• Design learning activities that meet the Competency Based Curriculum standards.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance and development.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support student wellbeing.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events and professional development.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification with Mathematics as the primary specialism.
• Valid TSC registration or eligibility to register.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for teaching young learners and ability to make mathematics enjoyable.
• Patient, organised, reliable and a collaborative team player.
