Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead the development and execution of cost‑effective procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and oversee the procurement budget for our operations in Nyeri.

Key responsibilities

• Develop inventive, cost‑effective procurement strategies.
• Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate advantageous terms with suppliers and vendors.
• Review existing contracts to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• Build and maintain long‑term supplier and vendor relationships.
• Approve purchase orders and coordinate delivery of goods and services.
• Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
• Control the procurement budget and promote long‑term cost savings.
• Oversee IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and supply of goods.
• Prepare regular procurement reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing supply chain or procurement operations.
• Proven ability to lead and develop procurement strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent management and leadership capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with supply chain management software and tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
