Program Assistant

About the role

The Program Assistant will be based in Nairobi and will support the REACTS‑IN programme in Kenya by providing efficient administrative and programme support to ensure timely grant and programme delivery in line with Nutrition International’s policies and objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist program officers in reviewing project proposals from consultants/grantees and provide advice prior to contracting.
• Manage and track programme budgets, milestones and reports to ensure obligations are met by recipients and Nutrition International.
• Arrange travel for technical advisors, consultants, workshop participants and visitors, including visas and itineraries.
• Organise logistics for national and international programme meetings and workshops.
• Draft grant and consultancy agreements, prepare contract approval sheets and obtain necessary approvals.
• Update financial milestones and fund transfer details in the contracts database.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of office experience and 3 years in programme management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with database systems.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
