Project Coordinator

About the role

The City seeks a Project Coordinator to plan, administer, and supervise specific projects or programs within a municipal department. Reporting to senior administration, the coordinator will ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign, supervise, and review activities of project staff.
• Monitor operating budgets and assist with annual budget preparation.
• Design, implement, and track procedures for program evaluation.
• Coordinate services with other city departments and external agencies.
• Prepare financial, narrative, and status reports for municipal officials and stakeholders.
• Administer payroll and personnel transactions, including time‑keeping, onboarding, and separations.
• Audit payroll entries, reconcile schedules, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support recruitment and retention initiatives, schedule interviews, and analyze workforce metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field (preferred).
• At least two years of experience in program administration, payroll, or HR functions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lb.
• Valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
