Project Officer – Citizen and Leadership Integrity (Access to Justice)

About the role

Transparency International Kenya is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to lead initiatives under the Citizen and Leadership Integrity (CDO) programme, focusing on improving access to justice. The role involves strategic advocacy, legislative work, and partnership management to strengthen anti‑corruption frameworks in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate programmes that promote citizen and leadership integrity.
• Conduct advocacy initiatives with legislators, public officials and multi‑sector stakeholders.
• Draft and review legislation related to anti‑corruption, governance and access to justice.
• Manage partnerships with government agencies, NGOs and other relevant actors.
• Provide expert analysis of Kenya’s anti‑corruption legal framework.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognised university.
• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
• Minimum five years of experience in anti‑corruption, elections, governance, access to justice or related fields.
• Proven experience in legislative drafting and advocacy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage partnerships in the governance sector.
• Strong understanding of Kenya’s anti‑corruption legal environment.
• Experience in conceptualising, implementing and evaluating programmes.
