About the role
World Vision Kenya is seeking a Project Officer – Health to support the implementation and monitoring of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) interventions in Wajir and Garissa. Working closely with the Project Coordinator, you will help ensure that health activities are delivered effectively and align with Ministry of Health priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in planning, implementing and monitoring MNCH activities according to project deliverables.
- Develop work plans and budgets for health interventions and lead their execution.
- Coordinate with Ministry of Health structures to integrate project activities with national and county health programs.
- Represent World Vision Kenya in county and sub‑county maternal and child health technical working groups.
- Integrate nutrition components into health interventions for greater impact.
- Ensure effective integration of health activities with other World Vision projects in the program sites.
- Utilize national and county M&E tools to capture, validate and report project data.
- Provide budget oversight and ensure adherence to approved financial plans.
- Liaise with national office technical specialists for technical support.
Required profile
- Commitment to World Vision’s Christian values and professional ethics.
- Willingness to attend team devotions, chapel and prayer gatherings as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Ministry of Health officials and local partners.
- Strong cultural sensitivity and respect for local contexts.
