Regional Content Manager – Africa (Nairobi)

About the role

The Regional Content Manager will be Mercy Corps’ primary field content and storytelling lead for Africa, based in Nairobi. You will bring the upcoming Prosper Global brand to life through compelling, community‑centered narratives and multimedia content that support fundraising, communications and brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, capture and produce high‑quality stories, photography, video and digital‑first content across the region.
• Support media engagement, fundraising, marketing and communications initiatives with tailored content.
• Report to the Senior Manager of Regional Communications and collaborate closely with the Director of Global Photography.
• Ensure content is strategically planned, ethically gathered and ready for use across earned, paid and owned channels.
• Work closely with country teams, regional leadership and other stakeholders to align storytelling with program impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating multimedia content in an African context.
• Strong storytelling ability with a focus on community‑centered narratives.
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent collaboration skills to partner with regional and country teams.
