Regional Director Africa

About the role

The Regional Director, Africa will lead Women for Women International’s revenue growth, partnership development, and strategic influence across the continent. Reporting to senior leadership, you will mentor Country Directors, align regional strategies with global goals, and act as the primary external representative for Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑year regional strategy that integrates philanthropy, institutional funding, corporate partnerships, diaspora giving, and earned‑income opportunities.
• Drive revenue, partnership, and market development across Africa.
• Build and manage institutional and regional partnerships.
• Oversee earned‑income and innovation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate Country Directors to ensure cohesive planning and performance.
• Integrate cross‑functional teams (Programs, Operations, Finance, Risk, Communications) to manage opportunities and risks.
• Represent the organization in global revenue forums and external stakeholder engagements.
• Foster a collaborative team culture and manage regional staff.

Required profile

• Senior leader with extensive experience in fundraising, partnership development, and managing multi‑country teams.
• Proven ability to design and implement regional strategies aligned with global objectives.
• Strong external representation skills with donors, corporates, philanthropic networks, and intergovernmental bodies.
• Excellent collaboration with senior executives and cross‑functional partners.
