Regional Ethics and Integrity Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Regional Ethics and Integrity Officer to support its Office of Ethics and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment. Reporting to the Chief of the Ethics and Conduct Unit, the officer will help embed a culture of integrity across IOM’s regional operations, providing policy guidance, training and advisory services on ethical matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide impartial policy advice on ethical issues and IOM’s Standards of Conduct.
• Design and deliver ethics training and outreach programmes for staff in all regional offices.
• Promote a speak‑up culture, including mechanisms for reporting concerns and protecting whistle‑blowers from retaliation.
• Manage the annual conflict‑of‑interest disclosure process and ensure compliance.
• Support the development and implementation of integrity‑related initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with senior management and external partners to align regional practices with IOM’s institutional strategy.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in law, public policy, international relations or a related field.
• Significant experience in ethics, compliance or integrity functions within an international or multilateral organization.
• Strong knowledge of UN‑based standards of conduct and anti‑harassment policies.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.
