Regional FSE Manager Automation

About the role

The Regional FSE Manager – Automation will lead a team of Field Service Engineers across Nairobi, ensuring high‑quality on‑site interventions, safety compliance and continuous skill development. This position acts as the primary escalation point and bridges operational execution with company strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of escalation for FSEs during on‑site interventions.
• Prepare interventions together with requesters and engineers, confirming technical requirements, timing and resources.
• Provide the planning team with suitable FSEs based on skill set and availability.
• Communicate corporate messages and strategic objectives to the field team.
• Review and adjust salary and compensation packages to remain competitive.
• Set, monitor and assess KPIs, conducting mid‑year and annual performance reviews.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of on‑site accidents in collaboration with the HSE team.
• Oversee leave management, expense approval and post‑intervention report validation.
• Ensure continuous multi‑skill development and HSE training compliance.
• Coordinate provision of tools and PPE, monitoring costs with finance.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding and feedback collection for FSEs.
• Collaborate with the Competence and Development Manager to maintain qualification standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing field service or automation teams.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and root‑cause analysis processes.
• Proven ability to plan resources, evaluate performance and handle compensation reviews.
• Excellent communication skills to convey corporate strategy to operational staff.
• Track record of recruiting and developing technical talent.
