About the role
The Rigger will work on construction sites to safely prepare, attach, lift, move, position and secure heavy equipment, machinery and materials. This role is essential for ensuring that all lifting operations are carried out efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and attach rigging gear such as slings, ropes, chains and shackles to loads.
- Lift, move, position and secure heavy equipment and materials using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Inspect all lifting gear before use to verify condition and compliance.
- Guide crane operators during lifts to ensure correct load handling and balance.
- Maintain a safe working area and enforce safety regulations throughout the operation.
Required profile
- Minimum 48 months (4 years) of practical rigging experience.
- Mid‑level qualification with proven knowledge of lifting procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow strict safety protocols.
