Risk Officer

About the role

The Risk Officer will join NSI Technology Limited’s risk management team in Nairobi, monitoring data to detect potential fraud, system issues, and financial losses. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, providing timely analysis and escalation of risks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track data to identify risks, system anomalies, fraud, and losses.
• Report and escalate suspicious activities, data discrepancies, and potential losses.
• Collect, organize, and interpret data from primary and secondary sources for accurate reporting.
• Conduct investigations to determine root causes of losses and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly risk reports using Excel and other data‑processing tools.
• Validate newly released products and incoming queries to ensure risk mitigation.
• Compute and analyse metrics related to deviations, conversions, and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work rotating 24x7 shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to resolve issues independently.
• Proven documentation skills for troubleshooting procedures and knowledge‑base maintenance.
• Effective time‑management and prioritisation of multiple support requests.
• Integrity, compliance with company policies, and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
