RN Clinical Nurse – Home Health

About the role

Join UNC Health as a Home Health Registered Nurse and provide one‑on‑one, holistic care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. You will deliver high‑quality, compassionate nursing services while managing your own schedule and travel within the assigned region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver personalized care plans for acute and chronically ill patients.
• Administer wound care, infusion therapy, and manage lines and catheters.
• Travel to patient homes, document care accurately, and ensure compliance with OASIS reporting when applicable.
• Participate in on‑call rotations (one weekday/week and one weekend/month) and respond to medically necessary needs.
• Maintain a professional appearance, use UNC‑issued safety‑feature phone, and adhere to mileage reimbursement policies.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
• At least one year of nursing experience caring for acute or chronic patients; 2–3 years Med/Surg preferred.
• Personal vehicle with current auto insurance and ability to travel within the assigned region.
• Willingness to work independently, manage schedule, and be on call as required.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
