Sales Executive (Hospitality & Hotel)

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive revenue growth for a leading hotel in Kenya by developing and executing sales strategies, building corporate relationships, and ensuring a seamless guest experience. You will work closely with hotel departments and the reservations team to align sales initiatives with operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue.
• Identify new business opportunities and approach potential clients.
• Prepare and present regular reports on performance, booking patterns, and competitor activities.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to align sales and marketing efforts.
• Maintain a consistent, positive customer experience across all interactions.
• Create and manage annual sales forecasts.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, event planners, and multinational organisations.
• Secure new corporate accounts across target industries.
• Represent the hotel at sales calls, trade events, and exhibitions.
• Track customer feedback and address concerns promptly.
• Work with the reservations team to streamline booking processes.
• Prepare compelling sales proposals and presentations tailored to diverse client preferences.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive sales experience in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and adapt to market changes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with the travel and tourism industry.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Passion for delivering great customer experiences.
