Sales Manager – FMCG (Thika, Kenya)

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead our FMCG sales operations in Thika, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence. You will be responsible for developing strategies, managing distribution channels, and leading a high‑performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, market penetration and sustainable growth.
• Identify new market opportunities, customer segments and channels.
• Set sales targets and create action plans to exceed objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and other channel partners.
• Monitor distribution coverage, product availability, stock movement and sales performance.
• Manage key institutional accounts, negotiate contracts and pricing within approved guidelines.
• Lead, motivate and coach the sales team, set performance expectations and conduct regular reviews.
• Conduct market analysis, support product launches, promotions and trade activities.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and performance updates for management.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, agro‑processing or a closely related sector.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing distribution networks.
