About the role

The Sales Team Leader will drive the performance of the sales team in Nairobi, ensuring monthly disbursement targets are consistently met. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong business relationships with clients while overseeing daily sales operations. This role requires a proactive leader who can recruit, train, and motivate sales executives to achieve high results.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly disbursement targets set by senior management.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales executives to expand the team.
  • Monitor execution of action plans and supervise daily and weekly sales activities.
  • Manage customer relationship management processes to ensure accurate tracking of client interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse sales performance data and provide actionable insights to improve results.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages high performance and professional growth.

Required profile

  • Degree or diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in team and branch management within the micro‑finance sector.
  • Strong understanding of non‑deposit micro‑finance institution trends.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and decision‑making ability.
  • High level of integrity, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and generate reports.
