Security Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a confident, service‑oriented Security Supervisor to lead and support all security and safety operations within our luxury hotel. The role ensures a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues and visitors while maintaining discretion and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security operations during assigned shifts, ensuring full coverage and adherence to SOPs.
• Monitor CCTV systems, access control points and patrol routines.
• Maintain a visible yet unobtrusive security presence to enhance guest confidence.
• Respond promptly to guest or colleague incidents and assist in emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical incidents, evacuations and security threats.
• Handle incident investigations, prepare accurate shift reports and escalate serious risks.
• Supervise, coach and motivate security officers, ensuring discipline, grooming and service standards.
• Support training initiatives related to safety awareness and emergency preparedness.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a senior supervisory or assistant security role, preferably in a five‑star or luxury hotel.
• Strong understanding of hotel security operations, guest safety, access control and loss prevention.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with guests, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Ability to balance firm enforcement with a warm, guest‑focused approach.
• Sound judgment, integrity and composure in high‑pressure or sensitive situations.
• Working knowledge of local security regulations and emergency response protocols in Kenya.
