Senior Human Capital, Legal & Administration Positions

About the role

Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) – Kenya’s leading government credit institution for agriculture – is expanding its senior team. We are recruiting a Chief Human Capital & Administration Officer, a Head of Legal Services, four Legal Officers, three Legal Assistants and a Corporation Secretary / Chief Legal Officer to support our mission of financing agricultural development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement human capital strategies, talent acquisition and performance management across the corporation.
• Lead legal affairs, provide counsel on regulatory compliance, contracts and corporate governance.
• Manage day‑to‑day administration, office operations and support services.
• Oversee recruitment, training and staff development for all departments.
• Ensure adherence to the Agricultural Finance Corporation Act and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with senior management to align legal and administrative functions with AFC’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in human capital management, legal services, corporate governance or administration.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a government‑linked financial institution.
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership capabilities.
