About the role
The Senior Insights Manager will lead research initiatives that improve handset affordability for women and underserved populations in low‑ and middle‑income countries. This role sits within GSMA’s Connected Women and Connected Society programmes, providing direct access to mobile operators and industry stakeholders across Africa and Asia.
Key responsibilities
- Collate and synthesize existing research on handset affordability initiatives.
- Identify knowledge gaps and design bespoke, action‑oriented research studies.
- Lead studies on handset financing, cost reduction, willingness to pay, and barrier mitigation.
- Capture learnings from strategic assistance to mobile operators.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights for industry stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience in leading research projects within the telecom or development sector.
- Strong understanding of digital inclusion challenges, especially for women in LMICs.
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across regions.
