Senior Investment Manager

About the role

Absa Asset Management is looking for a Senior Investment Manager to lead portfolio management in Nairobi. The role combines strategic asset‑allocation, oversight of alternative investments and active participation in the Investment Committee. You will be responsible for delivering research‑driven decisions that meet client mandates and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic and tactical asset‑allocation decisions for client portfolios.
• Monitor portfolio performance, conduct rebalancing and assess risk‑adjusted returns.
• Prepare investment proposals, portfolio reviews and performance reports for clients, trustees and the Investment Committee.
• Support business development activities and ensure compliance with Kenyan regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant finance, commerce or actuarial degree with professional investment qualifications.
• Minimum ten years of experience in financial services, including at least five years in an investment house.
• Proven experience in portfolio management, investment research, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
