Senior Local Finance Manager (Female Candidates)

About the role

The client is looking for a Senior Local Finance Manager to lead financial operations, reporting, budgeting and compliance for its Nairobi office. The role provides strategic financial guidance and supports business growth through accurate financial planning and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with internal policies.
• Develop, monitor and adjust budgets, forecasts and financial plans aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management accounts and periodic reports for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax requirements and applicable accounting standards.
• Manage cash flow, financial controls and risk‑management processes.
• Lead financial analysis initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Supervise, mentor and develop the finance team to enhance performance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and resolve audit findings promptly.
• Review and improve accounting processes for better financial management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of senior finance management or comparable leadership experience.
• Preferably former employees of the local tax bureau or reputable local accounting firms.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven leadership and team‑management skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
