Senior Project Manager

About the role

Databit Limited is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise ICT and telecommunications infrastructure projects across East Africa. The role focuses on the supply, installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of large‑scale IP‑Based PABX and Unified Communications solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and close high‑stakes ICT and telecom projects using PRINCE2 or PMP methodologies.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of IP‑Based PABX and UC deployments, from supply through commissioning.
• Act as primary liaison for clients, technical teams, vendors and C‑suite stakeholders in mission‑critical environments.
• Define project scope, manage budgets, allocate resources and mitigate technical and operational risks.
• Ensure deployments meet industry standards, client specifications and SLA requirements during testing and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
• Active PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent professional project management certification.
• Certification in IP Telephony / Unified Communications (e.g., Cisco Collaboration, Avaya, Mitel, Alcatel‑Lucent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing ICT or telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Proven hands‑on experience delivering IP‑Based PABX or UC systems in large enterprise or mission‑critical settings.
