Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Simple Life is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Platform team. You will own the AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, and internal tooling that power the company’s health‑coaching app.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and improve production systems on AWS and EKS, including VPC, IAM, RDS, Karpenter and Fargate.
• Maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and Terramate, with Atlantis handling plan and apply on PRs.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines and GitOps delivery via ArgoCD (or similar tools).
• Develop automation tools, primarily in Go, to replace manual runbooks.
• Ensure observability through Grafana, Loki, Tempo and Prometheus‑compatible metrics.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, incident response and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving instincts, able to work through ambiguous production incidents.
• Quick learner who can adopt new technologies and take ownership of unfamiliar tasks.
• Excellent written and spoken English for cross‑team communication.

Required skills

• AWS fundamentals (VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS).
• Kubernetes and EKS operations.
• Terraform and Terramate for IaC.
• GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, Atlantis, Flux.
• Go programming (or willingness to learn).
• Observability stack: Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Prometheus.
• CI/CD pipeline management.
