About the role
The school is seeking a dynamic Sports Lead to oversee all physical education, swimming, and external coaching programmes. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the sports curriculum and foster a vibrant, values‑driven environment for students.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and line‑manage PE teachers, swimming instructors and external coaches.
- Develop and implement an annual Sports & PE strategic plan aligned with the school vision.
- Create a comprehensive yearly sports calendar covering PE, swimming, galas, competitions and inter‑school events.
- Conduct regular lesson observations, provide feedback and ensure 100% curriculum coverage.
- Standardise schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment frameworks.
- Plan and organise after‑school sports trainings and major events such as inter‑house competitions, sports days and tournaments.
- Manage logistics, equipment inventory and safety protocols.
- Communicate sports schedules to staff and parents and undertake any additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field.
- Minimum five years’ teaching experience in an international school setting.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Additional teaching subject qualification is an advantage.
- Swimming qualification or lifeguard certification (preferred).
- Coaching certifications are a plus.
