Summer Fun Camp Instructor (July 6-24, 2026)

About the role

The York Catholic District School Board is seeking enthusiastic instructors to lead its Summer Fun Camp programs across multiple schools in Ontario. This temporary position runs from July 6 to July 24, 2026, with daily shifts from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and engage elementary‑age students in non‑credit programs such as games, arts & crafts, cooking, dance, drama, science, and coding activities.
• Confirm student placement before program start and monitor attendance and enrollment.
• Communicate regularly with the Program Lead Instructor and Continuing Education Principal.
• Report any concerns to Continuing Education staff and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Proven leadership abilities and experience working with children.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Effective classroom management and student discipline techniques.

Required skills

• Experience delivering recreational and educational activities for elementary students.
