Team Leader Cold Drink Equipment (CDE)

About the role

The Team Leader Cold Drink Equipment (CDE) will oversee the maintenance, repair and performance of beverage coolers at Coca‑Cola’s Nairobi facility. You will lead a team of mechanics, ensure equipment reliability and drive continuous improvement in safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute regular maintenance and repairs of coolers to ensure high reliability.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities, monitor tool management and maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop.
• Assist cooler mechanics with breakdown repairs, troubleshooting and fault resolution.
• Ensure equipment operates at optimal performance and uphold customer service excellence.
• Maintain safety, health and environmental standards and achieve quality targets.
• Set goals, drive team performance and provide leadership, support and guidance.
• Oversee administrative processes, ensure job cards are signed off and recorded in the ERP system.
• Manage budget, monitor expenses, report deviations and handle spare‑parts management.
• Contribute to the department’s budget planning process and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with a specialization in Refrigeration and Air‑Conditioning engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a technician working on cold‑drink equipment or coolers in a bottling or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing teams.
• At least 1 year of accident‑free driving experience with a valid licence.
