Technology Portfolio and Delivery Manager

About the role

Britam is seeking a senior leader to drive the delivery of its major technology programmes, starting with a Group ERP and HRIS implementation across multiple markets. The role will establish governance, planning, budgeting and architectural controls before design begins and remain accountable through go-live, hypercare and transition to business‑as‑usual.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise each programme: secure charter approval, define scope, governance, decision rights and success measures.
• Act as the single client‑side point of accountability, run governance forums and escalate unresolved decisions with options and recommendations.
• Own the integrated plan across solution build, integration, data migration, testing, security, cut‑over and market deployment.
• Lead in‑house software teams building integrations, extensions, reports and self‑service journeys, ensuring a single prioritized backlog.
• Enforce engineering standards covering source control, peer review, automated build, deployment, regression testing and secure coding.
• Chair the client design authority, challenge unnecessary customisation and drive a group‑first design with controlled local variation.
• Own end‑to‑end data migration, reconciliation and integration with core insurance, banking, payroll, payments, procurement and identity systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale technology programmes such as ERP or HRIS implementations.
• Strong governance and stakeholder management skills, able to act as the single point of accountability.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams, vendors and internal software engineers.
• Track record of delivering on scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and benefits.
