Territory Manager – Busia & Kakamega

About the role

Unilever is seeking a dynamic Territory Manager to lead sales activities in the Busia and Kakamega regions of Kenya. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building strong distributor relationships, and ensuring the territory meets its revenue and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Determine distributor infrastructure and working capital needs for the territory.
• Set sales and KPI targets using the Joint Business Plan toolkit.
• Monitor stocks, debtors, and cash positions to manage working capital effectively.
• Recruit, train, and coach distributor teams to achieve assigned targets.
• Prepare beat plans and ensure optimal product assortment, pricing, and availability across channels.
• Track profitability using the ROI toolkit and submit weekly KD extracts for order processing.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports on sales, ROI, working capital, and safety.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in an FMCG environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical abilities and proven track record of meeting sales targets.
