Truck Driver – Food Manufacturing Delivery

About the role

The company is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to transport bakery products, raw materials and supplies for its food manufacturing operations. You will ensure timely and safe deliveries to customers, distributors and company branches across the Nairobi area.

Key responsibilities

• Safely load, transport and unload bakery products, verifying quantities against invoices and delivery notes.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, obtain signed proof of delivery and report any discrepancies.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, monitor fuel, oil, coolant, tire pressure and report mechanical issues.
• Coordinate routine servicing and repairs with the fleet maintenance team.
• Comply with traffic laws, road‑safety regulations and company transport policies; keep licences, insurance and inspection certificates up to date.
• Arrange cargo securely to prevent damage during transit and report any damaged or missing goods.
• Complete trip sheets, logbooks, mileage and fuel consumption records and submit them promptly.
• Provide courteous service to customers, address basic inquiries and relay feedback to supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum three years (36 months) of professional driving experience, preferably in food or manufacturing logistics.
• Valid Kenyan driver’s licence for the vehicle class required.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Good physical stamina for loading and unloading goods.
• Professional attitude and commitment to safety.
