Voice AI Research Participant (Remote, Contract)

About the role

Join a short‑term research project to help improve voice AI assistants. You will interact with a voice assistant over a series of phone calls, providing real‑world feedback that shapes future technology. The role is fully remote and designed for participants across East and West Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Make five phone calls to a voice assistant within approximately one week.
• Ask real‑life questions about health, work, learning, or practical topics.
• Complete a brief survey after each call to share detailed feedback.
• Ensure each call lasts between 5 and 15 minutes and ends naturally.
• Provide overall insights to improve the assistant’s performance.

Required profile

• 18+ years old and residing in Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, or Nigeria.
• Comfortable speaking English.
• Willing to consent to call recording for evaluation purposes.
• Preferably a feature‑phone user or a smartphone user with limited or no data plan.
• No prior experience with AI assistants required.
• Open to participants of any gender from both rural and urban areas.

Required skills

What we offer

• Compensation of $10–$20 per hour, paid for actual time spent on calls and surveys.
• All call costs are covered; participants incur no expenses.
