About the role
Waruiru Advocates is looking for an Associate Advocate to handle a wide range of corporate and litigation matters. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate commercial contracts, conduct due diligence, and represent clients in court proceedings.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft and review commercial contracts and ensure proper execution.
- Conduct due‑diligence on conveyancing transactions and prepare sale agreements and completion documents.
- Draft legal opinions and maintain a legal opinion database.
- Perform legal research on assigned matters and support partners.
- Oversee filing and registration of intellectual property applications.
- Assist with intellectual property due‑diligence related to contracts and transactions.
- Form legal entities, prepare organizational documents and ensure statutory compliance.
- Provide legal advice on commercial and corporate transactions, including security documents.
- Interview clients, gather documentation, and prepare pleadings and motions.
- Negotiate settlements, draft settlement agreements and attend hearings at all court levels.
