Business Development Advisor (Dadaab)

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking a Business Development Advisor to work directly with entrepreneur clients in the Dadaab community. The role is part of the Business Growth Services team and focuses on mobilising, training and consulting micro‑ and small‑enterprise owners, many of whom are refugees, to help them build thriving businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and enrol eligible entrepreneurs, communicate programme details and act as Inkomoko’s ambassador in the community.
• Organise and deliver training sessions in Somali, Kiswahili and English, handling logistics such as printing materials, venue setup and attendance tracking.
• Provide business consulting using Inkomoko’s training modules, reviewing and suggesting improvements to senior trainers.
• Report challenges faced by participants to Inkomoko leadership and ensure programmes are completed on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse community members.
• Experience or interest in supporting micro‑entrepreneurs, especially in refugee settings.
• Ability to manage logistics and coordinate training events.
