Carbon Finance Intern

About the role

BURN is seeking a highly motivated Carbon Finance Intern to support the Carbon Finance department. This internship offers practical, hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day carbon and general finance operations within a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Save, organize, and file financial documents and records on SharePoint for internal and external reporting.
• Track payments and liaise with other departments on outstanding amounts.
• Identify and address discrepancies related to purchase invoices and receipts.
• Support administrative tasks such as approving Purchase Requisition Forms (PRFs).
• Assist the finance team during financial and tax audits by preparing and organizing supporting documents.
• Perform any other tasks as requested by the line manager or senior management.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum qualification of CPA Section 4.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable handling files and records.
• Results‑oriented, able to prioritize effectively and multitask in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions accurately.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SharePoint for document management.
