Country Operations Officer

About the role

The Group for Transcultural Relations (GRT) is seeking a motivated Country Operations Officer to support the day‑to‑day implementation of its Kenya programme. Working closely with remote headquarters, the officer will ensure smooth operational coordination, administrative follow‑up and logistical support for field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operational tasks for GRT activities in Kenya, including office administration and logistics.
• Arrange travel, accommodation and field movement plans for staff and consultants.
• Support procurement processes, follow up with suppliers and manage service contracts.
• Facilitate communication between headquarters, local partners and field teams.
• Assist in organising field assessments, monitoring visits and programme events.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and detail‑oriented individual.
• Strong ability to manage multiple administrative and logistical tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Experience working in an NGO or humanitarian context is desirable.
