Finance and Programme Associate Consultant (Home based)

About the role

The Finance and Programme Associate Consultant will support the implementation of the ACT to End Violence against Women and Girls Programme. Working remotely from Nairobi, the role bridges finance, programme management and regional coordination to ensure compliance with UN Women policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement financial strategies for timely delivery of the EVAW Programme in line with UN Women rules and regulations.
• Review, verify and correct financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation.
• Monitor financial exception reports, investigate anomalies and report unusual activities.
• Collaborate with regional programme coordinators, the EU Financial Specialist, and HQ finance teams to resolve complex budget issues.
• Provide financial information and reporting to support programme monitoring and evaluation.

Required profile

• Experience working with UN agencies or international NGOs in finance or programme administration.
• Understanding of UN Women financial regulations, internal controls and reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with teams across multiple regions.
