About the role

The Financial Accountant will manage vendor payments, staff payroll, statutory tax filings, and balance‑sheet analysis for a large international non‑profit operating in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, ensure accurate coding in the ProVision system, and manage timely payments within 15 days.
Administer in‑country payroll for international and national staff using SunSystems and coordinate with the Global Centre payroll team.
Handle Concur advances and expense reimbursements, perform monthly reconciliations of staff loans and receivables.
Prepare and submit statutory PAYE, VAT, and withholding tax returns to the Kenya Revenue Authority, and manage related deductions.
Analyze and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, including supplier, employee, and tax liabilities.

Required skills

Proficiency with SunSystems accounting software.
Experience using ProVision system for invoice processing.
Knowledge of Concur advance and expense management.
Understanding of Kenyan tax legislation, PAYE, VAT, and withholding tax procedures.
