Internal Auditor 1

About the role

The Thika Technical Training Institute is hiring a full-time, on-site Internal Auditor 1 (middle level) in Thika, Kenya. The post is responsible for conducting internal audits, reviewing financial records, assessing internal controls, identifying risks and recommending improvements to strengthen accountability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits
• Review financial records
• Assess internal controls

• Recommend improvements to strengthen accountability and compliance

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field, or equivalent from a recognised institution
• CPA graduate
• Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
• Member of the IIA (Kenya chapter)
• 3 years' work experience in a similar or related position
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, law and regulations

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer use and applications
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
