Food Photography Lecturer/Instructor

About the role

The Kenya Red Cross Society is seeking a qualified Lecturer/Instructor to teach food photography. You will develop and deliver both theoretical and practical lessons, helping students master the art of capturing culinary products.

Key responsibilities

• Design schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching materials for food photography.
• Deliver classroom and hands‑on sessions covering camera settings, exposure, composition, lighting, focus, depth of field and food styling.
• Conduct practical shoots in kitchens, studios, restaurants and other relevant environments.
• Integrate digital technology and contemporary photography practices into the curriculum.
• Guide students in building professional food‑photography portfolios.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Culinary Arts, Food Media, Hospitality, Visual Communication or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in food photography, food styling or culinary media.
• Demonstrated competence in digital photography and image‑editing software.
• Teaching, training or mentoring experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
