About the role
The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Coordinator is based at the UNFPA Kenya Country Office and provides high‑level technical expertise for the Kenya CSEA and GBV Prevention and Response Support Program. The role ensures a survivor‑centered response ecosystem and strict compliance with the project’s Environmental and Social Plan.
Key responsibilities
- Manage delivery of an integrated, survivor‑centered response ecosystem across Kenya.
- Ensure strict compliance with the project’s Environmental and Social Plan and safeguard vulnerable groups.
- Support GBV prevention interventions to mitigate Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA) and GBV.
- Collaborate closely with programme, monitoring & evaluation, and operations teams to ensure timely, high‑quality, and compliant programme delivery.
Required profile
- Provide high‑level technical expertise in GBV coordination and response.
- Work under the supervision of the Gender/GBV Advisor and coordinate with programme, M&E and operations teams.
