About the role

The Imports/Exports Associate will act as the primary liaison for clearing and forwarding (C&F) clients, ensuring their cargo moves smoothly from origin to destination. This mid‑level position combines client relationship management, customs compliance, and operational coordination within a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned C&F clients, building long‑term relationships.
• Identify optimal shipping solutions, negotiate competitive pricing, and enhance profitability.
• Track shipments using existing tools, keep clients updated on cargo status, and manage documentation.
• Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations for import and export shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Clear cargo through customs, coordinate off‑loading at client premises, and arrange return of empty containers.
• Identify potential risks in forwarding and clearance processes and develop mitigation strategies.
• Capture all costs in accounting systems and follow up for timely billing.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in imports/exports, customs clearance, or freight forwarding.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of local and international trade regulations.
• Ability to coordinate cargo handling, documentation, and container logistics.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
