Inside Sales & Sales Support Associate

About the role

The Inside Sales & Sales Support Associate works closely with outside sales representatives to ensure seamless service for our culinary‑focused customers. Acting as the primary liaison for assigned accounts, you will handle order processing, account setup, and day‑to‑day customer inquiries while identifying opportunities to grow profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Support 2–4 Outside Sales Representatives as the main point of contact for assigned customers.
• Assist with new account onboarding, ongoing maintenance, and pricing accuracy.
• Process orders, add‑ons, credits, adjustments, and special requests; communicate stock issues and substitutions proactively.
• Review incoming orders (phone, email, fax, voicemail) for completeness and accuracy.
• Suggest complementary items and upsell where appropriate.
• Run and analyze reports on account profitability, gross profit per drop, and line‑growth opportunities.
• Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities; share insights with the outside sales team.
• Maintain responsibility for select key accounts, ensuring service levels and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, purchasing, and customer service to deliver a seamless experience.
• Escalate irregularities or customer concerns to the appropriate teams and document complaints.
