Longtail Associate

About the role

Lead the incubation phase for newly acquired sellers, ensuring they achieve their first sales within 30 days, and oversee the long‑tail segment of thousands of small‑scale sellers using automated tools and scalable support systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of Incubation Associates and Longtail account managers, setting KPIs for seller activation and retention.
• Drive adoption of Jumia growth tools such as Sponsored Products and Jumia Express among smaller vendors.
• Track New Seller Success Rate and Churn Rate using PowerBI and internal dashboards to identify bottlenecks.
• Improve self‑service capabilities to reduce manual intervention for Longtail sellers.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in e‑commerce, operations management, or mass‑market business development.
• Proven experience managing large teams and high‑volume operations with automation.
• Bachelor’s degree from a top‑tier university.
• Analytical rigor with ability to manage large data sets in Excel and interpret PowerBI dashboards.
• Excellent English communication skills and a growth mindset focused on empowering small businesses.
