Insurance Specialist

About the role

The Insurance Specialist will work with frontline staff to deliver bancassurance solutions, manage sales processes, and grow the insurance portfolio for Standard Chartered in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with frontline staff to provide insurance planning and presales information.
• Analyse customers’ financial situations and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
• Determine appropriate sales distribution channels and deliver after‑sales service to maintain relationships.
• Conduct product training and development for the segment.
• Manage sales productivity through joint reviews with segment heads.
• Establish and implement comprehensive sales processes across branches.
• Support product development and deployment of systems and procedures.
• Increase penetration of insurance products across client segments.
• Organise and deliver weekly segment‑specific webinars for at least twenty clients.
• Hold weekly sales and training meetings for frontline staff.
• Manage Bancassurance Customer Value Proposition and work with product managers on cross‑sell opportunities.
• Execute marketing programmes and analyse customer bases to grow insurance wallet share.
• Ensure brand compliance with Standard Chartered and insurance partner standards.
• Track sales volume and revenue, and oversee compliance to mitigate mis‑selling.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience in insurance or bancassurance.
